Mauritius re-opening information
Mauritius will no longer require fully vaccinated travellers to undergo mandatory quarantine as of October 1st. A negative PCR test must be conducted within 72 hours of the last site of departure, and a COVID-19 insurance medical coverage must be secured (Mauritian citizens are exempt).
Before or during the journey to Mauritius, all passengers must fill and submit the health paperwork. The traveller locator form and the health self-declaration form are two examples. When you land in Mauritius, you must present these filled and signed documents to the immigration and health officials.
A compulsory antigen test is required on day 0 of your stay in a hotel and again on day 5 of your stay in a hotel. After obtaining a negative response from your antigen test on day 0, you are free to explore Mauritius island.
Upon arrival at the airport, all other passengers staying in one of the island’s villas, bungalows, guest houses, B&Bs, or private homes will be required to take a compulsory PCR test (day 0).
On the fifth day of their holidays, they will be asked to take a self-administered antigen test.
After receiving a negative result from your PCR test on day 0, travellers are free to visit Mauritius island.
Before being authorized to freely experience and wander around the island, all unvaccinated passengers will be subjected to a 14-night quarantine in a certified hotel with regular testing.
