Ground +2 Apartments
Ground +2 Apartments
As outlined in Budget 2021/22 and in accordance with Section 5(1)(ga) of the Immigration Act, non-citizens are eligible for a residence permit when they acquire a residential property in a building with at least two floors above the ground level (G+2), with a purchase price of no less than USD 375,000 or its equivalent in other freely convertible foreign or Mauritian currencies. The residence permit remains valid as long as the non-citizen retains ownership of the property under the G+2 scheme.
Foreign nationals are permitted to buy apartments in developments that are outside of the approved residential schemes, provided that the apartments are part of condominium developments with at least two floors above the ground level. The minimum purchase price for these apartments must be MUR 6 million or its equivalent in any other hard convertible foreign currency.
