Mauritius Reopens Its Borders on October 1st.

With one of the highest fully vaccination rate in Africa, our borders are reopening on 1st October 2021.

Vaccination Campaign Progress

With over 82% of local adults vaccinated, Mauritius is ready to welcome back tourists in a safe and secure environment. The vaccination campaign for under 18 will start end of September according to the authorities.

Mauritius has a modern health service that has responded positively to the pandemic.

Dr Laurent Musango who is a representative of the World Health Organization based in Mauritius stated that the vaccination campaign in Mauritius was successful and that the rate of vaccination can provide a safer environment for people to continue a normal life.

To note that unvaccinated travellers can also travel to Mauritius but will have to quarantine for 14 days in designated hotels before being allowed to move freely on the island. Travellers will be allowed to check out the quarantine facility after a negative PCR test on the 14th day.

    Good afternoon.
We want to come to Mauritius with our family in December.
Two adults, 1 child aged 14 and 1 aged 11. The adults and our child aged 14 are fully vaccinated.
But our 11-year-old child of course not. Can we just travel around with our family? I would love to hear from you.
