On the upper-edged, you will find the tallest waterfall on our island, the Chamarel waterfall which is perfectly labelled as a splash of wonder.
Around this spectacular waterfall, you will encounter numerous birds chirping and flying around the sparkling water which is running straight into the river at high speed.
After tasting the iconic Chamarel tea, head over to the Ebony forest which is just 7 minutes away.
Ebony Forest
The Ebony Forest is a protected area for Mauritius’ endemic plants and species The Ebony museum will provide you with an interactive experience through time about the birth of Mauritius.
Catch several glimpses of the Mauritius Bulbul and Geckos in their natural habitat while having a soothing and calm stroll on the Flycatcher Raised Walkway. The native trees and medicinal plants are not invisible either.
One last stop in the deep forest is to get to the Sublime Point. You will be speechless to see a splendid bird’s eye view of Mauritius from there! Be ready to savour this paradisal view at the top.
